Yes. The current release is a free public build — paste a link and save, with no account and no sign-up.
What quality can I download from YouTube?
Whatever the upload offers, up to 4K, 8K, and HDR, with the real audio track. You choose the quality before it saves; DLKeep does not re-encode it down.
Can I download YouTube Shorts?
Yes — paste a Shorts URL the same way as a regular video and it saves as a normal MP4.

Why does my download top out at 1080p on one account but not another?
YouTube is rolling out a delivery change to a slice of accounts, and on those the 4K and 8K direct streams stop being reachable. DLKeep detects that during resolution and falls back to the highest stream that still works rather than failing — so you get 1080p instead of an error. Accounts outside the experiment still get the full range.

Does DLKeep re-encode YouTube videos?
No. YouTube publishes video and audio as separate streams at high resolutions; DLKeep downloads both and muxes them into one MP4 without touching the encoded data. What you get is bit-for-bit what YouTube served.
Can I download age-restricted or members-only videos?
With your own YouTube login, yes — it stays on your device and is used the same way your browser would use it. DLKeep does not unlock anything your account cannot already watch.
