Why do some downloads look like they skipped the highest quality?
Douyin publishes some videos in an H.266 rendition that has the highest bitrate but plays on almost nothing. DLKeep deliberately skips it and takes the best H.264 rendition instead, so the file you get actually opens.
Is the video watermarked?
No. DLKeep pulls the clean source rather than the share-sheet copy, so there is no username stamp burned into the corner.
What resolution do Douyin videos come at?
Whatever the creator uploaded — commonly 1080×1920 vertical, and 4K on newer uploads. DLKeep reads the actual rendition list for that video rather than assuming a fixed ceiling.
Why did a link fail right after I copied it?
Douyin sometimes serves an anti-bot page instead of the video page. DLKeep reads the video id out of the redirect rather than the page body, so this usually passes unnoticed — but a link that has been altered by hand can still fail. Re-copy it from the share sheet.
